We have gathered here once again to commemorate and reflect upon one of the darkest chapters in modern history.

It is our collective duty to remember the past, honour the victims and ensure that such atrocities are never repeated.

On its 29th anniversary, we condemn this crime against humanity and stand united with our Bosniak brothers and sisters in their time of grieving.

On behalf of my nation and the Turkish people, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.

No matter how long may pass, our pain will still remain fresh. We shall never forget the cries of mothers and the children on 11 July 1995.

Taking this opportunity, let us reaffirm our commitment to justice and human dignity.

Let the memory of the victims inspire us to build a world where such tragedies are never repeated. Together, we can strive for a future marked by compassion, understanding, and unwavering respect for all human life.

In this respect we welcome the recent UN Resolution to designate 11th of July as “International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica”
 
As Türkiye, we intensely work to bring lasting peace and stability in the region in order not to face any kind of similar events in the future.

Türkiye provides all necessary support for the security and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There is no doubt that generations of young people are the guarantee of a peaceful and prosperous Bosnia-Herzegovina.
